Rumors abound that some of the powerful and infamous adventurers of this group are responsible for the God Fall. None of that matters now as they are trapped in the Lands of Ta’as as the winter deepens and the cities burn …

Our Cast of Heroes

Castle

Castle

They killed his wife. They killed his son. They killed his daughter. Since then, Castle has become more of a mission than a man. His first prey were the crime syndicates and Gnihton who took his family from him. His code? Any who abuse and kill the innocent must be punished. His goal? Become the perfect weapon of justice.

Eventually, the guilds imprisoned him… and forgot him. The Overfiend’s attack hybridized him and trapped him in the Zone. But now the shackles are broken. A rare aberrant survivor, he has left the zone to prey on those who would use the chaos of the apocalypse to dominate the weak and innocent.

Marcus

Marcus

A loyal soldier – that’s all Marcus has always wanted to be. In the aftermath of the Overfiend’s Attack, he lost many friends and comrades as an operative for Ash – until all that was left within him was paranoia and hatred.

In a horrid twist of fate, Marcus was captured and forced to become that which he hated the most: a hybrid. As an agent of the Silent Confessions, his skills were honed to a fine point by those he once sought to kill, and yet he remained unbroken. Now, Marcus is a man without a mission, searching for meaning among the ashes.

Tara

Tara Sa Cheverelle

The routine: Wake up. Train. Eat. Train. Sleep. Wake up. All her life. Occasional assignments outside of Base Four – but always isolated from the routine of Rogue Society.

Called to action at the Star Fall, she had no inkling of where her path would lead when she was detailed to the Rogue adventurer group as a second pilot and soldier. Thrown into a maelstrom of powerful magics and unimaginable challenges, Tara struggles to find her place within this squad of heroes.

Roger Dent

Roger Dent

A name famous in adventuring circles. Few have met the man and even fewer know his origins. It is said that he walked out of the deserts of Wa’la… a place known as The Wasteland, where he found a strange artifact – one that changed him and set him on a purpose.

Rumors say he was involved in the Pulse – the secret project that banished the Overfiend from Abantey – and freed him from the foul control of the artifact.

Later, he joined with others in a war against a Creator. In a desperate gambit against their enemy, they unleashed magics that would ensure they could fight another day – triggering the Star Fall. Now, he seeks to help set right the world he nearly destroyed.

Wei Chen

Wei Chen

Hands powerful enough to crush a boulder and gentle enough to hold a butterfly. Wei Chin wasn’t always the skilled martial artist he is now. He was orphaned with his older sister Kasasagi. With no other relatives they were brought to the school of the hand, a monastery where he and his sister cleaned and cooked meals for the monks.

As he grew up, Wei stayed to train and find peace in the tranquil life of the school, while his sister left to seek the riches of the world. 200 years later the creators have fallen from the sky and Wei leaves his home, in hopes of restoring equilibrium to the world with his powers.

Simi

Simi

Man. The stars are great. Worlds to explore. Phenomena to check out. But how does someone like Simi, who came from a middling family, get to space and fund her collegiate dreams? Join the space navy. It got her an expertise in astrophysics while getting to pilot some of the sleekest navy ships. Well, until Simi insulted a higher rank officer by refusing horrible orders, preventing her and her ship phasing into a moon.

So she joined up with the rest of the crew of the Inu to keep exploring. Now crash landed on Abantey, trying to save a bunch of innocents, she made the bold choice of joining up with the group of aliens rather than going into the core or shuttling asteroids around. Why? Because if she’s going to die, she’d rather die doing something new and interesting. Also the aliens are kind of adorable.

A coarse voice from within spoke: “Please, enter.  Have a seat.” She lifted the flap and peered within. The furnishings were spartan –

Mayday!” Tara struggled to keep her voice steady. “Shit.” Simi wrestled with the unresponsive controls. “Strap in!” Switches were flipped, controls were tweaked, panels were opened… nothing worked. They could hear the rest strapping in as the ship fell from the sky toward the frozen Land of
