Finic Ulsiv was born the only son of a fishmonger in Port Plankensburk, on the Salt Coast, in the Kingdom of Selander. His mother died during childbirth. As he grew older, the port deteriorated, leaving his father penniless. Finally, Finic was left fatherless, to suicidal. He found himself living on the streets, doing whatever it took to find food, taking shelter wherever he could find it.
In time, Finic hooked up with a villainous element and began a life of crime. First it was small jobs. Later he had minor roles in big cons. Thinking he had learned it all, he left to make his own money in a new territory. Cons lead to smuggling – nothing was off the table – money, items, people. His jobs and sphere of influence increased building an index of trusted contacts and associates. One of those associates was not so trustworthy, and he found himself as cargo in a orc ship.

Ur-Ravi(once Su Tas)
People accuse Ur-Ravi of being impulsive, of acting before thinking – and she would be the very first one to argue with that description. She is very direct and can be incredibly blunt. She doesn’t tend to have a lot of patience and will frequently cut right to the chase and just say whatever everyone else has been dancing around. This can be both refreshing and sometimes a bit inconvenient.
Ur-Ravi is more considered when it comes to strategy and provides wise counsel in times of battle – a seemingly never ending condition for her and her friends. Her stalwart and steady determination has borne the group through more than one predicament. Although, truth be told, her rash actions have created problems … will they cause more now that they have established new identities in Sabo?
Rowan Sierra(once Alder Tahoe)
Rowan Sierra is, first and foremost, a protector: a kind and deeply compassionate man with a surprising talent for combat. Though he is, admittedly, not the most loquacious of people, he is almost unfailingly polite in both words and actions. He is also very tolerant and not particularly assertive, but might nonetheless be characterized as quietly stubborn in his deepest convictions.
Rowan is always willing to lend a hand to those in need, and expects very little in the way of recognition in return. Though he is wise enough to avoid particularly high-profile actions, his sense of altruism and compassion all but ensures that he will eventually be noticed by those around him. It remains to be seen whether being a friendly neighborhood face will draw more attention than he intends.
Ra-Na(once Fi-Fie)
Ra-Na is very good at what she does, tends to be evenhanded in her dealings, and hasn’t done anything actually over the line. Beyond this her redeeming qualities are few enough, and her disdain is clear enough, that she hasn’t left much of a positive impression in town. Despite this, she makes an effort not to go too far in offending her current allies, occasionally even making an effort to be “nice” despite her clear misanthropic nature.
When not out on a mission for the librarian’s guild, Ra-Na spends her time in one of three ways: enjoying to the fullest whatever luxuries are available, experimenting with magic, or honing her already considerable martial skills. Her study of magic is one of the few areas in which she is entirely willing to seek the aid of her party-members, though the ultimate goal of her research remains a mystery.
Lycia(once Kaimera)
Lycia struggles with her past and the legacy left by her father, Snake, famous for the battle to save the planet from the Whale Leech. Here in Sabo, she is gaining reputation for discretion and dependability by taking select jobs with the ARA and the Librarians’ Guilds.
Apart from that, she prefers to keep a low profile, spending time roaming and hunting the forests outside of town. Balancing her desire to become as famous as her father while hiding from her own past is complicated. Will she accomplish her greatest desires or will her past be exposed?
Hammond Salvatore(once Adelmo Gaizka)
When Hammond was young, one of his closest friends got lost in the woods around his home. An adventurer went out into the woods and rescued Hammond’s friend. Ever since then, Hammond has dedicated himself to being able to protect and save people in the same way. He became a wilderness expert and specialized in tracking and healing magics that would allow him to be more effective at search and rescue.
Today, many people will describe Hammond Salvator as being a true hero. He is more than just an Adventurer. Hammond is dedicated to helping people in whatever way he can, protecting those who are in danger, and saving lives. He picks his work based on where he thinks he can be of the most help rather than what will pay the best. He is also not above volunteering around his neighborhood, even being known to have rescued a cat from a tree from time to time.

Jua Ansho-TaghJua, unlike most Marked Wa’la, was a very social child. During his rite of passage alone in the desert, things changed. The constant vigilance required to stay alive led to insomnia. Now, Jua is more reserved, aware of the challenges he faces as a Messenger for his people. He aspires to the prestige of his mentor, Iolana Ansho Tagh, who is a chosen of Os’Wa’la – a Survivor.
RamilBorn of an Innkeeper and a Tailor, Ramil was a rambunctious child. His impulsiveness resulted in the destruction of valuable Draajen leather, which taught him caution. He chose to become an adventurer for the action. Once again, impulsiveness led to problems and his actions resulted in the deaths a Marked Feeshan and a Marked Sakeet. Now he is a Wilderness Guard in hopes that he can stay away from trouble and atone for the shame of his earlier actions.
RagemuRagemu comes from a family of adventurers. As a child, she considered becoming a sailor. Her mother, however, a skilled adventurer and wilderness scout, taught her to fight. So she chose the way of a hero, and became an Emerald Guard. She thinks before she speaks, and seeks to use her skills to better the world.
Molee’Molee has been scarred by the death of his mother. He uses the humor he learned from his grandfather, a Marked Plajet, MoLe’ to hide his feelings. He chose to become an adventurer and guard to protect his younger brothers when his mother died. Now that his training takes him away from his home, he hopes to find his missing father as he journeys the world.
AsunaLike most Feeshan, Asuna is much better at making good decisions, than she is at memorizing minutiae – action rather than contemplation. As a child, that action led her to cause a Marked Sakeet to lose an eye. It was only through her skill of empathizing and talking that she avoided creating a diplomatic catastrophe. This skill led her to become a Negotiator Guard, to travel the world to see new things.

Wolf StarsplitterWolf Starsplitter has known nothing but the Code of Honor and the Slaar compound in Nar Ram Mar. For him the Code of Honor isn’t a way of life, it IS life. One could call him a zealot, as he simply doesn’t know any other way to live than by the Ways of the Slaar.
Will his devotion hold as he leaves the Slaar compound and experiences the outside world? Will his trusting nature lead him to question his ways? Will this adventure change him beyond recognition?
UmbraWhen she was a child, Umbra knew what honor was – to be like her mother, a member of the Slaar Clan. Her mother was the center of her world. But when her mother was nearly killed and hybridized, Umbra began to question the honor of the Slaar.
Slaar honor seemed to be only one piece of an elusive whole. To fight honorably could not be the only thing, otherwise those who do not fight would have no honor. Umbra could see that those who did not fight were often the most principled of all.
So what, then, is honor?
Is it possible to live with honor and never fight? What of people who choose to hurt those who do not fight? People are needed to defend those who can’t fight. So, Umbra chooses to risk her honor so that others may keep theirs.
PenOne day, when Pen was a child, he was playing inside a building, and the building collapsed. He became overwhelmed by the feeling of being trapped, of having no recourse, of being helpless.
As he was pinned in the wreckage, he struggled to determine how it had happened, what had caused the building to collapse. He understood that a building followed natural laws, cold logic, nothing like the honor that the Slaar clan followed.
The idea of cold logic, of natural laws, inspired him to learn more. To learn the laws of the universe, to seek the significance and essence of honor, and to search for a connection between the natural and cold laws of the universe and the code of honor with which he was so familiar.
Pen hopes that this endeavor – to learn the natural laws of the universe, to investigate the code of honor – will allow him to be prepared for the future. And, perhaps, he will be able to share this knowledge with others through story.
FerranFerran was once trusting, willing to believe that everyone told the truth, that everyone was virtuous. He was excited about the world and all the good it held. Then the hybrid war came. His entire world changed. He saw many people, some that he loved, and many whom he trusted, change dramatically, becoming monsters doing the bidding of a great evil.
This changed Ferran.
He saw how easy it was for people to be changed. How easy something powerful could make someone a monster. He lost his trusting nature. He withdrew, preferring to watch instead of engage, only allowing a few to get close to him.

The Fury ErelaFury Erela is an enigma. A half orc that was raised by by a human family far to the north, she was found gravely injured on a battlefield by a high priestess of the Church of Honor and Justice. Erela woke in a temple far to the south where she was told she had been healed by of Honor, one of the twin of the Gods of Honor and Justice.
She has since devoted her life to the Church and rose through the ranks to become a Fury – a dispenser of justice – one of the most feared positions in the Church.
Not much is known about Sebastian before he joined the crusading order of the twin Gods Honor and Justice. Not that it matters. Anyone who joins this cloistered order of knights leaves their past behind. What does matter is that due to his staunch dedication to the faith of Honor and Justice, he has risen to the rank of Richter. A position that puts him at the side of a high priestess of the church as a bodyguard and aid.
Chambers ChamberlinChambers is the youngest son of a minor noble house to the south. The family estate bordered the Elven lands where his father and two older brothers, very experienced outdoorsmen, were killed on a hunting trip. When their bodies were discovered, the villagers thought they had been killed and eaten by wild animals.
Chambers and his mother knew that they had been killed by something else. The death of her husband and two older sons was too much for Chambers’ mother. She killed herself by burning the house down around her.
Chambers has since dedicated his life to hunting whatever killed his father and brothers. First he trained as a ranger with the Elves. Now he has devoted his prodigious focus to the study of ancient religious texts and the occult.
Will Scarlock “Mouse”Will grew up in a gang of street urchins that looked out for each other. A gang to which he remains loyal to this day. Normally Will aims to avoid drawing attention wherever possible and not get caught. He is particularly motivated to help the poor get what they need and does not believe in stealing for greed. In order to protect a younger member of his gang from getting caught, however, Will took the blame and ended up in the services of Lord Lowe and with the nickname “Mouse”.
He’s not particularly happy to be on the current adventure and is trying to find different ways to cope with his situation, including developing a minor Robin Hood complex. This primarily consists of using the funds Lord Lowe now provides in order to feed the random street kids Will meets during his travels.
CarverCarver was apprenticed to a spymaster in the service of the LaVoie family and was being groomed to take over his position. Then tragedy struck. He was framed by a jealous rival for the murder of his mentor.
Carver is a man of many hidden talents and even though he is on the run, he will eventually make his rival pay. He made his way to Cruger and found himself a position in Lord Sabri Lowe’s estate as an advisor and household manager.
Lord Sabri LoweThe Lowe family initially received their title and land as a reward for their outstanding military service to the King. They have since become a more or less, independent state. They have a large, highly trained, standing army. Much of their income comes from hiring out their substantial military might.
With the passing of Garen Lowe, Sabri’s older brother Robert has inherited the family lands and title of the 6th Count of Cruger. As the second son in the Lowe family, Baron Sabri Lowe resides at his estate outside of Cruger where he operates a successful vineyard and trains much of the standing army.
AnuA Ranger’s work is never done. From his home in the jungles of Repast, to the savannah outside of the Tabur Hybrid Zone, Anu did his duty. He was working with teams out of Ash’s Tower when the Overfiend returned… and he was pulled into the void of Amethyst.
A Ranger’s will is strong. Anu fought his way back to the Tower, and returned to real space, to find himself months after the destruction of everything he knew. His quest now is to find his place in the world while holding onto the values instilled in him during his training.
Michiel*…An actor, a storyteller. In his homeland this isn’t uncommon. In the Rogue lands, they call him a Con Artist, which didn’t stop Mitchell from wandering, living off both the land and its people. His instincts were good, and he could always slip out of tough situations.
With the Star Fall Misheel briefly lost his sight and hearing. But as a hunter carrying supplies, Meeshill was a welcome sight to haggard survivors.
Then he joined of a group of Rogue adventurers to fight off an attack by the “The Hooves of Os’ Plajet”. A group is a new experience for Mikael, and somewhat stifling. However, he now has a front row seat to the exciting things that’ve come out of hiding now that the Creators aren’t watching.

TeklaExceptional. That’s what everyone says. In her heart Tekla does not believe them. Yes, she was the best in all the physical training. Yes, she was as smart as the most intelligent in her classes. But her physical strength does not translate into confidence, and no matter how competent her logic tells her she is, she hesitates.

Max’s glib tongue and unbridled curiosity has been both an asset and a bane, as the blackened scar across his chest can attest.
